This contains big time spoilers. If you haven’t watched the episode, I am advising you turn back now. Save yourself.**

There are a few things I can say without hesitation and one of them is, Marnie is crazy y’all. I mean completely off the reservation, padded room, old fashioned Thorazine drip needing crazy. Still holding the Wiccan’s captive inside the magic shop, Marnie threw a dagger at one of the women that was trying to leave and killed her. Personally, I blame Tara. You guys realize this is all Tara’s fault. It’s always Tara’s fault. Hurricane Irene – Tara. Tropical Storm Lee – Tara. My steel cut oatmeal was slightly lumpy this morning – Tara. After Marnie committed homicide Antonia decides that she wants out of this whole situation, but Marnie pulls a fast one and casts a spell to bind them together for good. As stated earlier Marnie – crazy.

Meanwhile, outside of the magic shop: Bill, Eric, Pam and Jessica have reconvened to blow some shit up. Jason of course comes along to inform them that Sookie is inside, to which they respond, “That dumb bitch!!” Ok, they didn’t say that, at least Bill and Eric didn’t. Jason reminds them that they’ve all had lots of sex with her, so of course they decide to not blow the building up. BTW, Pam what in the hell is a gash? And do I add that to my arsenal of swear words? Seriously, Pam can’t believe everyone is willing to forgo offing the witch for Sookie’s safety. She calls Sookie a gash in a sundress.

Over on the other side of town Sam is continuing to audition for the inevitable Death Wish remake, by holding a gun on one of Marcus’ werewolves to learn of his whereabouts. All the while Marcus is trying to convince Druggie Debbie to run away with him, and he stopped along the way to snatch his daughter from her school. Speaking of druggie’s, Andy is walking his way home from being left in the woods by Terry last week. On his comical yet boring way home a fairy visits him. Seriously. For some reason, I’m sure we’ll be told next season, they make love. Hint: I guess the fairies are looking to spawn some more Sookie-like people.

Two words: Vintage Cartier! That’s it! Game over! One of the female vampires’ Marnie has bewitched is wearing vintage Cartier, but great style didn’t save her from becoming a ball of goo as Bill throws her into the force field surrounding the magic store. Marnie has harnessed the sun to make the field. Good show, actually there Marnie! We also find out, she is doing all this because Marnie has no friends in her life before Antonia. Call Dr. Phil, Oprah somebody. Don’t kill a bunch of people because no one liked you in high school. After Bill summons them all outside for another truce meeting Marnie agrees to release Sookie, but Bill and Eric must agree to meet the true death. They both agree to die for Sookie’s freedom. But Pam instead blows the building up, while calling Sookie Bo Peep. Seriously, I heart you Pam!

Inside the magic store Jesus has come with a plan of using the dead girl’s body to unbind Marnie from Antonia. He warns Lafayette it’s about to get ugly in there. He literally drinks dead chicks blood. Jesus does some chanting and his faced turns back into the Santeria-demon thing he turned into last week. Over at Alcide’s, Sam finally squares off with Marcus. De hombre a hombre. After Sam completes fisticuffs with Marcus, but leaves him alive. Marcus then decides to go for the gun to shoot Sam. Alcide being the sexy giant he is accidentally kills Marcus when he tries to stop him. Oops! Oh, well as long as you keep looking like you do, I think no one cares whose you neck mistakenly break. Break on Sexy! Afterwards he throws Druggie out, again! I half felt sorry for Debs this time. I think she really tried to not be a crack head. You know who I blame? Tara.

Back to Jesus and Marnie. After Jesus completes the spell Antonia departs leaving Marnie to just be a powerless harmless nutter. Eric and Bill go inside to of course kill this bitch. The stupid guy, who Tara calls an Uncle Tom (that reference didn’t fit at ALL, btw), tells Eric and Bill they have to go through him to get to Marnie, to which Eric literally a blink of the eye pulls homeboy’s heart from his chest and drinks it like a McDonald’s milkshake. Yum! Eric, not the heart shake. Bill precedes to fill Marnie full of real bullets. Just like that Marnie is no more! Before you weep for Marns, later that night she deicedes to use medium Lafayette’s body to try to make one last run at the brass ring. To be continued…

Overall I’m not really sure about this episode. This was certainly better than last week, but not much better. It’s was still a bit on the lackluster side to me. But, it’s looking like the season finale might prove to give us something to cheer about. I would give it 6/10 if I were rating it. Thoughts, theories, groans, moans?

Episode #48: “And When I Die” (season finale)
It’s Samhain, Wicca’s greatest holy day, and spirits of the dead surface in Bon Temps, giving Sookie valuable allies to combat Marnie’s newest incarnation. Lafayette’s latest medium encounter imperils his relationship with Jesus; Jason (Ryan Kwanten) finds confession good for the soul, but not the body; Alcide makes a heartfelt appeal to the woman he loves; Terry (Todd Lowe) receives an unexpected visitor at Merlotte’s; Sam and Luna (Janina Gavankar) envision a storybook ending, for once; Nan (Jessica Tuck) wears out her welcome with Bill and Eric. Debbie confronts Sookie and Tara (Rutina Wesley) with deadly consequences, and the denizens of Bon Temps brace for a new crisis with a familiar face.

This contains big time spoilers. If you haven’t watched the episode, I am advising you turn back now. Save yourself.**

Sorry folks, but I have to say it. I was a tad on the bored side last night. I get they are trying to establish the story arc and all, but the show was missing its usual ‘Did you see that?’ moments in my opinion.

But, let’s dive in anyway, first off three cheers to you Alan Ball, Keeper of Hot Shit, for the continuous male nudity! We opened the episode with some good butts lying all around the screen, the left over carnage from Bills attempted escape from the Weres last week. Enter the Vampire King Russell riding in on a white horse nonetheless, how noble is that? Anyway, he informs Bill that he is one who had him “kidnapped” and brought to Mississippi. And, I must say it is the most polite kidnapping in history. After Bill is taken back to the king’s manor, we are introduced Talbot his companion. I must say Talbot is hot and certainly a proper host, although a tad annoying. Seriously, the rundown of the menu, which included blood gelato and blood bisque’ with rose petals got on my nerves just a little. I get that was supposed to be funny, but perhaps I was in bitch mood last night. That’s always possible.

Bill is basically being held captive until he agrees to work for King Mississippi. To which he refuses. Also, King Dude gets a high-five when he makes fun of Bill’s use of the word War, that’s Wa-ah apparently in the South. I’ve been here my whole life and have never said Wa-ah, of course I’m not doing an Elvis impression either.

This brings us to Sookie on her someone HELP ME FIND BILL TOUR OF 2010; once again, she is telling Eric what she found out about Bill’s kidnappers. This of course is that odd little symbol that looks very Nazi in its appearance. Enter a flashback where we see Eric and Godric taking on a Were dressed like SS soldiers. The only thing learn from this is there is a master and Godric is entirely too calm for me. Flash-forward, Eric gets all “humanish” when Sookie starts to cry over Bill. NOTE to ANNA PAQUIN: NEVER let them talk you into crying again. You need to rehearse that shit more, it wasn’t working girl. To cut this short Eric knows way more than he letting on, and he wants to protect Sookie more than he wants to help her find Bill. To that I say <strike>Elvis</strike> Bill Who?

Sam is the other big storyline of the night, I suppose. Still not interested in this, but again bitch mood last night. Now, I don’t want to offend anyone, Sam’s family, is a big no! Clean your house, wash your clothes, and your bodies!! You look terrible! Personally, if I walked into that joint, I would go the other way. Why do I feel Sam is going to be the victim of a shakedown really, really soon? Lafayette took Tara to visit his mom (the glorious Alfre Woodard) who has apparently flipped her wig and wound up one flew over the coo-koo’s nest-style, which he points out homegirl is really close to herself. Over over dead Omelet, I just don’t get. Jason is jealous of Andy’s new found celebrity and probably going to envy his way into a murder conviction, but Stupid Hot is well right now just stupid. What the hell is going on with Jason? The character is slowly losing his hot and starting to get on my nerves. Arelene is still pregnant, Terry is a sweetheart. Tara met Franklin Mott (James Frain, not looking remotely hot like I was hoping he would) and she beat the hell out of some racist rednecks. Cheers for that, boo to her!

It pains me to write this but, it was a bit of a meh episode for me. Overall, we are getting the introduction to these characters out of the way, but the usual favorites didn’t really deliver anything that spectacular last night. I would give it 6.0/10 if I were rating it. Thoughts, groans, moans? What did you guys think? Share, share, share. It’s a place of love around here this season.
I will leave you guys with these questions for next week’s episode:
Will Jason do something remotely interesting?
Who took Jessica’s body? Hint…James Frain.
Who is the weird chick in the woods?
Will I be in a better mood next week?

She’s not entirely human that’s for sure. Series creator Alan Ball won’t tell exactly what she is but assures fans that it will be revealed next season. “Sookie has a stronger genetic predisposition in another direction. People who have read the books know exactly what I’m talking about. People who haven’t, it will be revealed,” Ball explained. Based on the books, however, Sookie is a fairy.

Eric

The Viking vamp was missing for the most part of the second season finale but Alan Ball tells Entertainment Weekly there’s a reason why and assures fans that Eric will be a prominent character in season 3. And once he resurfaces, he’ll be making lots of sexy time with tremendously hot and bold Yvetta, Fangtasia’s new Czechoslovakian dancer.

Tara

Tara hasn’t been so lucky when it comes to the matters of the heart. This season, however, she’s getting her very own vampire buddy in the form of Franklin Mott, who is described as very very sexy and over-protective. But she’s not the only one on cloud nine because as it turns out, her ever-distraught mom turns to the church for comfort and “maybe a little more” in the form of honorable Reverend Daniels.

Jason

Jason will find himself in an embarrassing situation when two NYU girls, Jen and Missy, try to get him into the sack.

Lafayette

We will be seeing more and more of Lafayette in season 3 as he gets vulnerable not just because he’s afraid of Eric. He also gets a boyfriend!

Andy

He’ll find out that he is related to somebody and it will totally shock him when he discovers who it is.

Godrick

The vampire may have committed suicide by sunlight but he may still appear in the coming season in flashback scenes with Eric.

Queen Sophie-Anne

Queen Sophie-Anne may not have come across scary when she was first introduced in the second season but Ball says she will be in season 3. “You don’t want to introduce a character you’re going to see later and blow your wad up front. All I can say is keep watching. It will make sense,” Ball explained of Queen Sophie-Anne who will return for the new season but not as a series regular.

Arlene

After a string of bad luck when it comes to love, it looks like Arlene is finally going to get her happy ending. Alan Ball reveals to TV Guide that she and current love interest Terry
“will make a surprising discovery that will bring them closer together.” In other words, expect another addition to the Fowler household!

Shocking Plots:

The Bombshell Secret

Ever since Queen Sophie-Anne graced the second season of True Blood, Bill and Sookie fans have been haunted with a theory from the Charlaine Harris books that would certainly destroy their favorite vampire-human couple: that Bill is working for the Queen and he came to Bon Temps to seduce Sookie with ulterior motives. It’s certainly an issue that would divide True Blood fans as this will push Sookie right into the arms of Eric, and while series creator Alan Ball hasn’t really followed the novels to the letter, he isn’t completely shutting out the idea either.

“It’s certainly something that I found really compelling in the books,” Ball told Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello of Bill’s deep dark secret. “I was like, ‘Wow.’ But I can’t really tell you what I’m going to do story-wise. So much of the appeal of the show depends on the element of surprise.”

“I try to stay out of how the fans are responding to the show,” he added. “I have to tell the story that I think is the most interesting story. Certainly, the main ingredient in drama is conflict and revelations. For every person who loves Bill and wants him and Sookie to just be in love always, there’s another person who’s like, ‘I’m sick of Bill. He’s such a wuss. I like Eric. He’s dangerous.’ Especially when you’re working on a show like this with the kind of palette and the colors you use; you want it to be continually surprising and shocking. Not for the sake of being shocking, but that’s part of the fun.”

Sookie and Eric, will they or won’t they?

Season 2 left fans with a cliffhanger that saw Bill being abducted just before Sookie was supposed to accept his marriage proposal. Now that Bill is seemingly and temporarily out of the picture, we are now left wondering if Eric and Sookie will finally get together in season 3. But Ball tells TV Squad, “I can’t tell you if they’re going to get together, because that’s going to ruin the anticipation. But, if you’ve been following season two, he’s definitely been doing things to make her more vulnerable and more susceptible to him. And he does want her, he’s just not sure why. I think it’s deeper than just, ‘I want her because Bill Compton has her.’ Although that’s part of it, because Eric is a total alpha-dog.”

Casting News:
•	Tony winner Denis O’Hare has been cast to play Russell Edgington, the King of Mississippi. There’s no word yet on how far the series will deviate from the books, but based on the Charlaine Harris novels, Russell is described as the perfect southern gentleman who prefers men. O’Hare joins season 3 as one of the regulars and is expected to make his debut early on.
•	Season 3 will also include werewolf Alcide, super bad vampire Franklin Mott, Sam’s blood relatives and a character named Debbie Pelt, who is “bad news” and an ex-girlfriend of a guy who’s helping Sookie find Bill.
•	Tommy Mickens will be introduced as a scruffy but attractive man in his early ’20s who just so happens to be Sam Merlotte’s long-lost younger brother. According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, he’ll be showing his “unadorned backside, which, with Sam’s similar feral tendency towards the ‘full moon,’ proves that they really must be related after all.” According to SpoilerTV, Tommy works at a Tire Depot in Arkansas and comes from a family with a bad reputation with debt.
•	Beginning the second episode, Talbot, a sarcastic vampire with a model’s looks, will surface as a “guide of sorts” for the kidnapped Bill.
•	A character named Jesus Velasquez, an “unordinary orderly with a heart to match his good looks,” will also introduced in the third season. He also happens to be gay!
•	A guy named Coot will lead a pack of rednecks this season.
• An elderly woman who moves with the help of a walker mistakes Bill for her son
•	Caroline Compton will appear in a flashback scene in the third episode of the season 3 in which she uses a shotgun on an intruder only to realize that it’s her dead husband Bill.

How do we feel about these tidbits? I didn’t hear anything about Jason going back to getting naked, did you? Thoughts, theories.

Alan Ball gave an interview with Advocate and he let some good information slip regarding Season 3 drop.
We’ll be meeting the vampire king of Mississippi and his long, long-term companion — and by long-term I mean really long-term — Talbot. I think Lafayette may meet a love interest, and certainly Pam, who works with Eric, she’s certainly got a lesbian vibe — I don’t know that that’s all she is, but she certainly does seem to appreciate the women.

I was kind of hoping Eric and Lafayette would have something, because think of the cattiness Pam would unleash at the idea of that.
I think Sophie-Anne is definitely interested in Sookie; I don’t believe it’s for sexual or romantic reasons but she is definitely interested in Sookie and whatever it is about Sookie that is special beyond the realm of what is human, and that’s something that we definitely will learn more about in the upcoming season.

About those book things…
How much as writers do you stay true to the book series?
I think we try to stay very true to the spirit of the book series. We have made changes. The books are all narrated by Sookie, so the books are basically all Sookie’s story. We definitely have — in fleshing out the other characters — been creative. I think where we may not stay true to the books entirely, we do try to stay very true to the spirit of them.

Do you and Charlaine discuss changes you have in mind for the character and story development on the show?
No. Charlaine put it very succinctly at Comic-Con — she said, “I don’t tell Alan how to write his show and he doesn’t tell me how to write my books.” We have a very, very good relationship; a mutual respect and admiration relationship, and I think the books have certainly been good for the show and the show has certainly been good for the books, but they are two completely different mediums and I think we both respect the boundaries of that.

You’ve said recently that a character will die in season 3. Will this story line follow the third book?
I’m a little leery to answer these questions because if I say yes it just gives it away. For people who read the books, some things will not come as a surprise. But for people who don’t read the books, it will be a surprise.

Are we excited? I miss this show. And FYI, Jason gets naked again!!!
There’s no shortage of man candy on the show and Jason is back in Bon Temps and he may be up to his old ways. I can tell you that you’ll definitely get to see a lot of Jason in the first few episodes, and by a lot, I mean a lot physically.

This contains big time spoilers. If you haven’t watched the episode, I am advising you turn back now. Save yourself.**
<
Ok, I’m not a prude at all, but Alan Ball, damn – really? What a way to introduce Queen Sophie Ann. I can safely say I was not expecting that opening. We find Queenie on her knees feeding from some women’s uh, crotch area. Yeah, only place she had I guess. Next. Hoyt didn’t react well to Jessica’s decision to feed on his mom. In fact, he takes his crazy momma home and asks Jessica’s where was she raised? Leaving her to cry both anger and hurt tears. Can someone tell Hoyt the girl is only 17; she was still in the process of being raised. Back to Queenie…Evan I have to say I liked her last night. In a previous post I mentioned, usually I can’t stand her, but she was actually pretty perfect in the role. Seriously, Evan had the queen bitch act down and she looked fab. High-five. Sophie Ann explains that Maenad Maryan isn’t really immortal, because on a base-level she is still human. Deep.

Did anyone else want to slap the braids off Tara? Seriously. Tara wants to save Eggs from Maryann, because she is her true love. Seriously. Tara tells her mother she doesn’t know love, Lafayette he is a freak that will never find love and Sookie she could only find love with a dead man. Seriously. Apparently girls, buttaface Eggs is all that! The sex is so good; she is so veree in loveded with him. Sam revealed his shapeshifting secret to Andy and Stupid Hot. Stupid Hot of course found it very cool and for the rest of the night he came up with the craziest scenarios for Sam.

Arlene’s poor kids are basically on her own; because, of course their momma has the Coroline button eye spell. They seek food and shelter from Sam at the bar. Jason has decided to take a stand and he and Andy are off to the police station to get an arsenal. I NO LONGER LIKE TARA. I just cannot wrap my brain around anything that chick did this entire episode, which consisted of getting her just as dumb mother, to help her escape. If one more person holds a gun on Lafayette, I’m going to Bon Temps. What was the logic behind, Lettie Mae letting Tara go back to Eggs? Nonsense. We also find out Lafayette is also having dreams about Eric. Why I am not having dreams about Eric? Can he bottle some of his blood, help our cause, Eric.

I want to give props to Everly Mason and her big blue grannie panties. You are a brave actress. Jason has decided to use his hot for good, by distracting one of the Corolineians while Andy racked up on guns. Sookie and Lafayette managed to get away from momma dumb and take off to get Tara. That’s one decision I was so against, Tara deserves whatever she gets at this point. Save yourselves, leave her. Sam takes off to Fangtasia and asks Eric to help. And Pam, the always funny Pam, just wants him to leave and take Arlene’s kids with him. Eric agrees reluctantly enough to help and we find he likes kids, but not in a good way.

Momma Hoyt revealed some not so interesting information about Father Hoyt, which leads me to believe he will apologize to Jessica real soon. Uh, Eric’s flying could have been better, but anyone else feels like they were watching an old episode of like Superman or something? Yuck. Once Sookie returns to her house she finds the continuing debauchery, I mean seriously Arlene and Terry are hanging out in a tree, some random dude is sitting in her sink, some big teeth chick is cutting her fingers off with glee and the coroner dude is laying on the floor. I’m going to also need Stephen Moyer to hit the gym a little harder before he takes his shirt off again. Seriously. After Queen Sophie’s buffet of warm bodies she tells of how Maryann’s kind came to be and that she chose Sam pretty much because he is supernatural and we find out all this is pretty much Tara’s fault for summoning her last season with that Ms. Jeanette of the bus voodoo.

Some more not necessarily random events happen like Bill meets Sookie’s wayward cousin. I feel something from the books is being set up here, do you? Uh, yeah, plot watch. Eric arrives and Bill threatens him. Fuuny, every time he says Sukee I laugh so I can’t possibly take his threats seriously. Jason tells us he works out like a muthafucka and watches a lot of porn. Basically it’s up to Andy and Stupid Hot to save Bon Temps. Ya’ll are screwed! Move now.
The episode ended with Lafayette getting the Coroline Button Eye spell and a giant egg!

Overall the episode was better than last weeks, but Eric’s flying and the Fred Flintstone terradactyl egg in the bed took me waaaay out of the episode. That was some lame shit. I would give the episode a 7.5/10, if I were rating it. Thoughts, groans, moans?

I will leave you guys with these questions for next week’s episode:
Did Maryann chose Sam because he was supernatural and had ties to Bon Temps?
Who does Sookie stab in the next episode?
Ok, what’s in the egg?
Will Bill turn Sam over to Maryann?
Why was Sookie walking around with a purse?
Anyone else vote for Stupid Hot to wear that gray t-shirt from now on?
Yahtzee anyone?

This contains big time spoilers. If you haven’t watched the episode, I am advising you turn back now. Save yourself.**

BTW, sorry for the late post, but life gets in the way sometimes. First off who knew Andy Belfor actually has a purpose, he actually managed to drunken stumble upon the MaryAnn sex orgy and save our favorite dog Sam. Good for him, maybe I won’t club him for upsetting Lafayette in the last episode. Soon after, we see Hugo having a claustrophobic meltdown and still stuck in the basement of the Newlins church along with Sookie. She is using her detective skills to piece together that someone tipped the church off about their ill-fated little find Godric mission. And unfortunately for them Bill is trapped in his hotel room by Lorana.

Can I just say I really like Lorana? Whoever is dressing this chick for her flashbacks is channeling Edith Head. Don’t worry you can look that up later. Anyfashion, we get a flashback to 1935 Los Angeles where Bill is telling Lorana how evil she is and has made him lose all his humanity, blah, blah, blah. Apparently, Bill has always been a fuddy-duddy, perfect for Sookie in every way in my opinion. STUPID HOT brought Sister Sara to tears, girls!!! Give the man a pat on the back, or a cookie. Apparently he sexed her brain out because she wants to confess it to her crazy ass husband.

Hoyt my friends is simply charming! Seriously, he is adorable. He is a 28 year old virgin. And to no one surprise so is Jessica. Pretty easy to figure out where the story is going, right? Here’s a Public Service Announcement, DO NOT SMOKE MARYANN’S WEED! Just when I thought Tara was starting to figure it out, she doesn’t. Eggs explains it all away, with the fact they must have blacked out from the pot. I’m really starting to really dislike Eggs. It’s just the fact that he is seemly content with sitting on a couch all day or following Tara to the bar. Who does that? And why hasn’t this big chunk of reality hit Tara yet? She’s not bewitched all the time.

Sam being a true Southerner had a bad encounter, he gets armed. But, according to Daphne, Maryann is a god and he’s probably going to need something a little bigger. Meanwhile, Hugo sang like a bird to the good Reverend giving up Sookie and the vamps who sent them. To which the Rev. snapped because he thinks it’s all a scheme involving Stupid Hot as well. In one of the many straight from the book moments of the episode, Sookie sends a message to fellow telepath Barry telling her where she and Hugo are being held. Now run Lassie and get help! Unfortunately, Lorana will not let Bill leave and informs him that Eric summoned her.

Anyone feel sorry for Andy? He is the only one who isn’t under Maryann’s spell and no one believes him. They have reduced him to the crazy drunk dude. Why do I get the feeling he might be the only one who comes out of this in the end unscathed? Tara and Eggs seem not to notice Maryann has man feet and neither one of them seem bothered that the woman apparently killed a rabbit with her bare hands. Rabbit, it’s what for dinner, I guess. WAKE UP TARA!

In another straight from the book moment, Hugo is a trader. Apparently he is jaded because Isabel won’t turn him. Whatever. Stupid Hot went all violent after whathisname called Sookie some nasty names. Finally fleeing the Vamp Hating Church scene or trying to anyway. There were some other episode fillers like Arlene thinking she raped Terry, Lafayette warning Tara in his most colorful way that Eggs is trouble. Satan in a Sunday Hat! Pretty good, but Satan in a Sunday Hat Hooka, would have been better, but still colorful nonetheless.

Eggs under Maryann’s black Coroline eye spell, made him stab Daphne. Good because I didn’t like that character anyway. And in more pointless moments, Bill tells Lorana he never loved her, Sister Sara decides to shoot Stupid Hot. Eric heard Barry tell Lorana that Sookie is being held captive. Can Eric get sexier? In another straight from the book Godric himself rescues Sookie from being raped. And as some of you guys might have noticed Godric is kind of hot. Wait…how old is the dude playing him? Strike that last statement until I see some I.D.

Overall the episode of course was jam-packed with excitement and more plot devices for the future, but I could do without the Days of Lives love moments with Bill and Lorana. And I’m really, really hoping the Maryann resolution isn’t based on scorned woman syndrome, because that my friends is weak. And basically who cares? I would give the episode an 8/10 if I were rating it. Thoughts, groans, moans?

I will leave you guys with these questions for next week’s episode:
Is anyone else over Eggs?
How old is Lorana? And will she take Sookie shopping?
Why did Sarah shot Jason? Did she do any damage?
Will Sam join forces with Andy? Will anyone believe Andy?
Will Eric be the one who actually free’s Sookie, making her indebted to him? Or grateful? Nod, nod, wink, wink.

Last week was a little lackluster for sure, mostly because I think they took so much time with Sookie and Bill talking. Blah, blah, love. This week it looks like we get some Lafayette and Pam banter, which will like, so the show should redeem itself.

The episode is called, Hard-Hearted Hannah. Enjoy!
Accompanied by Isabel’s human boyfriend Hugo, Sookie embarks on a dangerous mission to locate Godric. Meanwhile, Bill is shocked when a vampire from his distant, more violent past resurfaces in Dallas. In Bon Temps, Daphne presses Sam to get comfortable in his own skin(s); Hoyt continues his unlikely courtship of Jessica; Andy interrogates Lafayette about his disappearance; and Tara and Eggs take a detour while on a road trip. At the Light of Day camp, Jason faces difficult emotional and physical choices.

This contains big time spoilers. If you haven’t watched the episode, I am advising you turn back now. Save yourself.**

So, she’s a shapeshifter. Daphne is a deer changing shapeshifter bad waitress. Good one, Alan Ball. This is completely not book 2, which is kind of the running theme of last night’s show in my opinion. I feel like the book Dead in Dallas is a part of the witness protection program because the names and events have all been changed so much. Anyway, Daphne is just like Sam, but I still don’t trust her.

Can we get a few more scenes with Terry? I really like his character, he makes me smile. And apparently he makes Arlene smile as well. Or, he did out in those woods at Tara’s party. Sookie decides to not only annoy us, but she starts virtually stalking Barry the Bellhop telepath as well. Barry tells Sookie the vamps of Dallas are badass and he has no desire to share his gift with them or her for that matter. Alright I REALLY have to ask, what in the Twilight is going on with all these sappy sweet syrup moments between Sookie and Bill? I don’t know if it’s just me, but it’s gotten way over the top with we’re in love jazz. We get it, move on. For some reason that escapes me, Sookie doesn’t know what a continental breakfast consists of and that it’s free. Really She was kind of over annoying to me in this episode.

Back in Bon Temps, Tara wakes up from her night of birthday sex and starts reflecting on her sad little life and how Mrs. Stackhouse was kind of the only mother figure she ever had. Awww, I too miss her and those delicious looking breakfast she always made. In Dallas, Stupid Hot is having his first day at Vampire Slayer Bootcamp. I mean seriously, has it occurred to Jason that this “camp” is full of the crazy. But he forges on anyway, trying to be the best he can be. Simper Vamp, I guess.

One more time, I still do not trust Daphne and I love the way Arlene of the bad red wig absolutely hates her. That makes me happy. Maryann also started to show her full crazy, by announcing that she, Eggs and the servant dude would like to move into Stackhouse manor. Tara of course protested, she after all is a visitor as well, this lead to an argument with Eggs, who did little in my opinion to explain the ”relationship” between he and Maryann. We’re a family, is not cutting it, hot abs. We’re gonna need a little more than that.

We get our introduction to Stan and Isabel in this episode, who looks absolutely nothing like the characters from the book. I mean Stan was like unber-nerd in the book, but instead we got a Stetson wearing hot dude from Eureka. Ok, maybe that’s the consolation because Chow in the book hot, Chow on tv, not. Anyway, Stan does not agree with Eric’s plan to find the missing Godric. But Sookie agrees to go undercover at the church to do so. I just wanted her to take her clothes off and throw them away. Did you see her in that red disaster of an outfit? What the hell?

Meanwhile, Jason excels at being vampire slayer solider of the year and gets rewarded by Sara in a “real hands on” kind of way. At Marlotte’s Maryann puts a spell on everyone making them all turn on Tara, which of course makes her decides she needs her little family around afterall. Most importantly last night we got glorious Eric’s back-story. It seems Godric “made” Eric the Viking, Eric the Vampire years ago. He reveals this fact to Bill, so now I’m all about Godric as well. I really want to see more of this character. I can’t wait to see how he is fleshed out on screen.

Just for good measure Maryann did her best impression of the late Mrs. Stackhouse, right down to the apron. Consoling Tara after her bad night at the bar. I was seriously like damn, Tara wake up and smell the housedress.* BTW, if you haven’t heard, I don’t trust Daphne. Lfayette made a fabulous return to Marlotte’s, but he was really not himself. We ended the episode with more of Bill and Sookie banter, that I wasn’t listening to. Something about love and sex or whatever, and Bill’s maker made her first appearance this season. Uh, oh, Sookie it’s on. *If you don’t know what a housedress is, ask someone southern for a definition

Overall the episode was good, not ground breaking or earth shattering. I would give the episode an 7/10 if I were rating it. Thoughts, groans, moans?
I will leave you guys with these questions for next week’s episode:
Our friend, Lafayette, has changed since his ordeal, will he be this way from now on?
What is the deal with Eggs? Does he know what Maryann is and is he in on the plan?
Will Bill’s maker take Sookie shopping for a cute little maxi dress? Will she stop wearing the June Cleaver 1956 Summer Collection?
What is Daphne’s plan? Why and how did she manage to find Sam?
Will Sister Sara continue to bathe Jason?
