Nine strangers face the mind-bender of a lifetime when a hooded madman locks them in a basement and announces that he will slay one of them every 10 minutes until they uncover the mysterious connection they all share. But starting without a single clue, can any of them solve the puzzle in less than 90 minutes? This horror-suspense film from director Chris Shadley stars Melissa Joan Hart, John Terry and Lucille Soong.

Happily married Jessica (Sarah Michelle Gellar) deals with the fallout of a terrible tragedy when her husband (Michael Landes) and his brother (Lee Pace) both wind up in comas after a car accident. Even worse, when the brother awakens, he’s convinced he’s Jessica’s husband. He seems to know details of Jessica’s life that only his brother would be familiar with, prompting Jessica to suspect that a supernatural force is at work.

In the world of stuff I want to see, Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator, Joss Whedon and Super Size Me’sMorgan Spurlock are teaming up to create a documentary about the superfans that attend ComicCon.

And if you are reading this blog I certainly have no need to explain the gloriousness that is ComicCon. Can’t you see the Storm Troopers and Darth Maul regalia now? The Buffy and Angel lookalikes? The Joy, the fun! The tears because I can’t get tickets.

The doc-u-nerdary has yet to be cast. Pick me, pick me, that way I can get tickets, no?

This sounds absolutely awesome! Too bad Brighthouse and TimeWarner still sucks… anyway the legendary Robert Englund is getting his horror on in a new five miniseries for Fearnet, called, Fear Clinic. Here are the showtails:
Horror legend Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger of the Nightmare on Elm Street blockbuster franchise) stars as the sinister, maniacal genius Dr. Andover. His obsession: to cure humanity’s worst fears. His method: the Fear Chamber, a device of his creation that can bring any worst fear to life. With Dr. Andover’s extreme methods his unwilling patients will be cured for good…or die trying!

The mini-series will premiere on FEARnet.com and FEARnet’s VOD channel in October as a centerpiece event of its annual Halloween scare-a-bration.

I seriously don’t think any writers returned to work after the writers’ strike, because Hollywood has officially run out of ideas. There are no more, because we are now getting a “reboot” of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This time even Joss Whedon had the sense to just say no. Whedon will not be involved in the project. Good for you Joss. Someone has some dignity. According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Buffy” creator Joss Whedon isn’t involved and it’s not set up at a studio, but Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Entertainment are working with original movie director Fran Rubel Kuzui and her husband, Kaz Kuzui, on what is being labeled a remake or relaunch, but not a sequel or prequel.

While Whedon is the person most associated with “Buffy,” Kuzui and her Kuzui Enterprises have held onto the rights since the beginning, when she discovered the “Buffy” script from then-unknown Whedon. She developed the script while her husband put together the financing to make the 1992 movie, which was released by Fox.

Kuzui later teamed with Gail Berman, then president of Sandollar Television, bringing back Whedon to make the TV series, which was produced by Fox TV and launched on the WB in 1997. Kuzui and Sandollar received executive producer credits on “Buffy” and its spinoff, “Angel.”

The new “Buffy” film, however, would have no connection to the TV series, nor would it use popular supporting characters like Angel, Willow, Xander or Spike. Vertigo and Kuzui are looking to restart the story line without trampling on the beloved existing universe created by Whedon, putting the parties in a similar situation faced by Paramount, J.J. Abrams and his crew when relaunching “Star Trek.”

Just because Twilight madness is taking over the world, Joss Whedon is apparently gearing up to bring Buffy out of retirement in a wait for it…new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie.

Didn’t we already have one of these already? Here are the sketchy details:

The monster success of girly vampire pic Twilight at the US Box office last weekend could kick open the door for a big-screen return of Joss Whedon’s much-loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Rumours are circulating in Hollywood that Whedon has a feature-film script based on his hit TV series ready to roll as soon as a studio is prepared to commit. The Buffy concept was first unveiled as a movie in 1992 with long-forgotten Kristy Swanson in the title role.

Now don’t get me wrong I was a tv Buffy geek like everyone else, but I still like the Kristy Swanson Buffy as well. And we should leave this movie business in ‘90s where it belongs. Will I watch it, you already know I will. Can we get Luke Perry on the phone stat, it’s not like he’s busy. I shared a plane with Dylan once and he’s still hot!
