If you watched Lost 2: The Tribe I’m sure you know it was wretched and deserves to be taken outside and staked (Ha! Sorry) and if you were a reader of mine back in 2008, you know I gave LB2 a big ole fat middle finger. I also mentioned back then there was a supposedly a prequel that never got off the ground, well the cool dudes over at

Put down your latte and grab a freakin’ bottle of tequila because this is a fuckin doozie. They are apparently going full speed ahead on the crazy train and actually planning on filming a ‘Lost Boys 3.’ I guess the clusterfuck of stupid that was Part 2 didn’t deter Feldman’s delusion because he is also tagged to be a producer this time out as well as donning that stupid outfit once more.

The other Frog brother, whatshisface, has also signed on. Apparently, Corey Haim is not involved and if I were him, I would be doing cartwheels for not being apart of this further bastardizing of what could have been a decent franchise.

Fearless writer, Evan Charnov, has signed on to pen this film that we know will go on to become an American horror classic.

I tried my hardest to ignore this video, but my disdain for Feldog (really? You think that shit’s cool?) made me watch. The A-List star sat down with Spooky Dan of Bloody-Disgusting.com check out what Feldman says about Lost Boys 2. If you don’t want to sit through the whole I’m the greatest, biggest, most respected actor on the planet routine, he gives us his misguided take on Lost Boys 2 about 3:20 in.

What fucking movie is he talking about? We would have loved to see a “continuation of the story”, that’s the point of a sequel you asshole! Cop to what really happened, The Tribe initially had nothing to do with Lost Boys, Warner Brother’s knew they owned the Lost Boys title and rights to those characters, they knew they could generate more publicity by including it and you in that shitty ass mess.

It’s not a huge deal he’s doing what he’s supposed to do on a press junket. I just cannot stand this guy. Sorry, rant over.

I’m convinced movie execs sit in their offices and throw darts at a big board with all the titles of the movies we 80’s and 90’s kids loved and decide to remake, sequel or prequel them into something that we hate. I’m not sure whether they do it for kicks, i.e. Michael Bay and his minions or just thinking they can do it better, i.e. Michael Bay and his minions. Anyway, remember this is just talk, but Moviehole.net is reporting there are early rumblings of Lost Boys 3.

Yup, you read that right, like the fuck-up that was Lost Boys 2 wasn’t enough. They want to go back to completely diminish the franchise. Check it out:
So some of you didn’t like “Lost Boys: The Tribe”? Is that what I’m hearing?

The biggest complaint seems to be the lack of Sam (Corey Haim) and Alan (Jamison Newlander) action (but c’mon! how great was Feldman in this movie! He was insanely good – was there ever going to be room for the other two guys?), and that’s fair enough, they did after all only appear briefly (Newlander didn’t even appear in the film itself, but in an alternate ending fond on the DVD). And I’m sure there’s more to the story as to why they did only pop-up momentarily. Whatever the case, they weren’t really a part of the film – and some of you expected that they would be.

I’ve spoken to one of the chaps involved in the movie since its DVD debut last week and he promises me that there will definitely be more Sam and Alan in “Lost Boys 3″ (yep, seems they’re thinking about it already). Feldman, Haim and Newlander will be the stars of the next chapter.

The finale of “The Tribe” sets the next film up, signaling a possible Corey vs. Corey outing next time around, and that’s indeed what we’re going to get… as of today anyway. And yes, Jamison Newlander will be back as Alan Frog – and not just for a deleted ending on the disc.

I’m going to get a cocktail now. And the fact that this guy thought Feldman was good in the sequel calls for two cocktails. What movie was he watching? Feldman’s outfit, stupid voice, and overacting are all the reasons we don’t need a third movie.

When the first Lost Boys came out I was 11 and the next summer my cousins and I watched it on video so much we could recite the dialogue with the characters. It was that serious. So, you know I was annoyed past belief when they announced a sequel 20 years later, especially without anyone from the original cast. Then I heard Corey Haim and Feldman were indeed going to be in it. I wanted Kiefer Sutherland personally, but I’m thinking I’ll take what I can get.

I say all that to say, Lost Boys 2, had it been named Vampire’s Cove or something other than Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, it wouldn’t sucked as hard as it did. Clearly, the writer did not intend this movie to be a sequel, but I have a sneaking suspicion Warner Brothers, who own the rights to the characters from the first, realized how much money they could make if they threw in some tie-ins to the first movie, so call in the Corey’s. And voila, you have instant sequel.

But, as much as they tried to tie-in, they also tried to reinvent the wheel a bit. This movie has an abundance of swearing and this group of Lost Boys were way more violent than Hot Mugshot (Kiefer) Sutherland’s ragtag band from the first movie. Not even 10 minutes into the movie, you get a kill and decapitation. We are then introduced to Chris Emerson and his sister. We are never really told who these kids are related to; one can only assume they are related to the Emerson’s from the first movie. Corey Haim played Sam Emerson and Jason Patric played Michael Emerson in the first Lost Boys. They go into the story of how Chris and his sister (didn’t catch her name and I don’t care to look it up, because she’s bores me) parents were killed in an auto accident, a few years ago. We also meet crazy Aunt Jillian, her character is supposed to fill in for the Grandpa character played by the brilliant Bernard Hughes from the first one. She might be crazy, but funny she is not. There’s this useless back story about Chris being a pro-surfer, which brings us to the introduction of Shane, played by Angus Sutherland.

Sorry, Angus you are not half as sexy as big brother Kiefer’s David was in the first movie. Anugs plays this former pro-surfer who walked away from fame and glory and became a vampire leader I guess. Stupid. Further more, Shane’s gang are just a bunch of idiots who sit around stabbing each other and recording it to put on the internet. Dumb. Chris and his sister what’s her face then attend a party at Shane’s and sister gets turned. Enter Corey Feldman, wearing his exact same outfit from the first film. I bet it’s literally the same outfit; Feldman probably had that thing in storage all these years. And he utters what has to be the most stupefied sentence ever, “Your sister is a suck monkey.” At this point, it all goes down hill. I mean faster downhill. He goes on the say lines like, “Who ordered the steak?” Has he always been this bad of an actor?

Some more nonsense happens, like Feldman giving these stupid speeches, some of which he delivered in the first movie. There’s a bunch of subtle and not so subtle tie-ins to the first movie. Look for the now really fat shirtless guy playing the sax, the comic book Vampires Everywhere shows up, Grandpa’s antlers that killed my precious Hot Mugshot in the first one, there is even a blatant and stupid Goonies moment. Nice try Feldman, but you still suck!

There was one scene that I liked a little though, because there was skateboarding and motor bikes, those two things make me happy. And there was night surfing, also really cool. Oh, yeah, I failed to mention the other Corey (Haim) didn’t I? A few guesses as to why; if you do watch this, watch the credits, that’s all I’m gonna say about that. I don’t want to spoil it for you.

If I were 11 and had never heard of the first Lost Boys this movie would be still just ok. But, because I was such a fan of the first one, I can truly say it sucks. No puns intended.
