It's possible he's one of the shape shifting vampires, but it would be damn hard for him to have a bar (since most bars open during the daylight hours). The show seems to play off quite a bit of the White Wolf universe (the abilities shown and mentioned; celerity when Bill attacks the Rattrays, and he attempts to glamour Sookie). Anyhow, it will be interesting to see how this develops. As a side note, according to Vampire: The Masquerade, Sookie is now considered a ghoul; I wonder if they'll integrate that in the series.
