The trailer for Bret Easton Ellis’s, The Informers, is out and I have mixed feelings. The movie is based on the book, and as you might know Bret Easton Ellis wrote Less than Zero and the fabulousness that is American Psycho. Anyway, The Informers is a book of short stories following the lives of some really messed up people in LA in the early 80’s. It’s broken into different chapters, points of view and lets each narrator tell their story. In the book there is a vampire character called, Jamie. Or is he? Jamie is also seeing a psychiatrist. See where I’m going with that right? It’s a cool little twist in the book.
I was kind of looking forward to this and apparently someone thought it was a good idea to nix all the supernatural elements from the movie version. Check out the trailer, even though it’s not supernatural related at all anymore. The trailer looks a bit random to me:
