As, I told you guys yesterday, The Midnight Meat Train is making it’s first stop in the dollar theater in limited release for some reason. Like I said, I think Lions Gate didn’t feel it could take on the power keg that is The Dark Knight, because I know it surely wasn’t that bullshit Mummy sequel. Because that mess should have went directly to the trash DVD. And while I’m on the subject what in the hell happened to Brenden Fraiser’s career?
Anyway, back to the point, the fellas over at Bloody-Disgusting.com have launched a full on attack so to speak. More like a campaign to get Meat Train playing in more theaters. Check it out, this is what they say:
SO HERE’S WHAT TO DO:
-Go to FANDANGO.com and find a showing of Midnight Meat Train and purchase a ticket (if you can find a theater that actually allows you to purchase online), or two, or ten (I’m going to go buy ten immediately following this post) – they’re only a dollar or two, so consider it a donation to horror!
- Also, if you see the film is playing in a different theater than any listed below, please send me an e-mail to submit@bloody-disgusting.com
- Most Important: Spread the word, post it on blogs, talk about it in forums, get your fellow horror fiends to purchase tickets! Show fans where it’s playing, let’s try and fill these theaters!
-Send an e-mail around to your co-workers ASAP (the day is ending)
-Digg this story (see above), it will help spread the word
-Start with Friday showings as it’s getting late already. Hit ‘em where it hurts, we sell these suckers out, we win the battle. A big battle.
-Lastly, put MMT TICKETS in the subject line and e-mail your receipts to submit@bloody-disgusting.com, the person who purchases the most tickets will be sent a very special “thank you” package from Bloody-Disgusting
Now, personally I’m not advocating you do anything. I’m lazy as hell, that’s all I’m saying, but I thought I’d tell you guys about it. I plan on seeing it, and how shitty movies have been this summer; I’m cool with it being a $1. Because, that meant more money for shoes!
